纳米纤维指直径为纳米尺度，且具有高长径比的一维纳米结构材料；碳化硅纳米纤维是一种新型高性能纤维，具有低密度，高比模量，高比强度，高导电导热，热稳定性和奇特的光学与电学特性；作为增强体材料，碳化硅纳米纤维能够显著提高复合材料的抗弯强度、韧性、硬度、耐高温、耐磨、抗氧化、热导、化学稳定性、结构稳定、抗热震性能；作为半导体纳米纤维，碳化硅纳米纤维具有单晶体结构、宽带隙及柔性特点，可用于高功率纳米器件；在高强度复合材料、新型能源转化与存储和可穿戴柔性智能电子器件等领域具有广泛的应用前景。

With high flexibility, excellent nonflammability, and high thermal stability, SiC nanofiber, as a
new ceramic material, would have application in the Ceramic Matrix Composites, Metal Matrix
Composites, Polymer Matrix Composites, Functional Materials, Such as, aluminum composites
for the light alloy, novel SiC/SiC composites for the hot section of the engine and high-temperature exhaust gas filtration and dust filter. Silicon carbide nanofiber is the excellent
reinforcing materials which can improve the mechanical strength, hardness, wear resistant,
antioxidant ability, thermal dissipation, dimensional stability and thermal shock resistance of the
advanced composites. As a mechanically flexible semiconductor nanomaterial, SiC nanofibers
provides the opportunity to create a new type of bendable membranes of single crystalline
semiconductors or flexible wearable nanodevices.
