合成方法编辑
1.将苯酚加到王水中，搅拌10min后升温，反应物则由黑色油状经暗红达红色片状结晶，约20～24h ，冷却，滤出结晶，用酒精反复浸泡，滤干至片状结晶成金黄色，干燥后即为成品。
2.以1,4-苯醌为原料，在过氧化氢存在下，用氯化氢进行氯化，可制得产品。氯化反应在60℃下进行，在丙酮中重结晶或升华进行产品精制；
3. 以苯胺为原料，在无水有机溶剂中用氯化氢氯化生成2,4,6-三氯苯胺，在110℃下于无水硫酸中氯化，可制得产品。 [1-2]
用途编辑
1.本品用作天然橡胶、丁基合成橡胶、丁腈胶和氯丁胶的硫化剂。
2.主要用于制造丁基胶内胎、外胎，硫化胶囊，耐热制品，绝缘电线等。可单用也可与硫黄和其他硫化促进剂(一般是与促进剂DM)混合使用，用以制造电缆和海绵橡胶制品，用量0.5%～4.0%。如添加5%～20%能提高胶料同织物材料的黏接强度。
　　3.本品用以制造抗恶性肿瘤药物亚胺醌、癌抑散，制造利尿药安体司通;也用作染料中间体和农用拌种剂等。
4.用作氧化剂、杀虫剂。用于四氯醌电极制造及有机合成。
5.用作光度法测定异菸肼的显色剂。还用于有机合成、四氯醌电极制备。
